Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) won 6-2 over Sweden's Isabella Wrana in the Final of the Oakville OCT Fall Classic, held September 2 - 4, 2016 at the Oakville Curling Club in Oakville, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Hasselborg won 6-2 over Ontario's Chrissy Cadorin in the semifinals of the 2016 Oakville OCT Fall Classic in Oakville, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-5 over Tracy Fleury (Sudbury, NONT) in the quarterfinals.

Hasselborg finished 4-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hasselborg defeated Mallory Kean (Kitchener, ON) 11-2, then won 6-4 against Ontario's Jacqueline Harrison and 5-4 against Cory Christensen (Blaine, USA). Hasselborg won 7-5 against Heather Heggestad (Thornhill, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Oakville OCT Fall Classic Championship title, Hasselborg earned 35.237 world rankings points along with the $2,200CDN first prize cheque. For week 3 of the event schedule, Hasselborg did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hasselborg ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
