Peter De Cruz (Geneva, SUI) won 6-5 over Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) in the Final of the Baden Masters, held August 26 - 28, 2016 at the Curling Center Baden Regio in Baden-Daettwil, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, De Cruz won 5-1 over Rasmus Stjerne (Hvidovre, DEN) in the semifinals of the 2016 Baden Masters in Baden-Daettwil, Switzerland; and won 6-5 over Marc Pfister (Adelboden, SUI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Baden Masters in Baden-Daettwil, Switzerland;
 
De Cruz finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, De Cruz defeated Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) 4-3, then won 9-4 against Rui Liu (HARBIN, CHN) and 6-5 against Aku Kauste (Helsinki, FIN). De Cruz won 6-2 against Kevin Wunderlin (Biel, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Baden Masters Championship title, De Cruz earned 51.030 world rankings points along with the $14,636CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 17th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 204.186 total points. De Cruz ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 51.030 points earned so far this season.
