Edin finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin defeated Smith 8-2, then went on to lose 7-5 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT). Edin lost 8-3 to De Cruz where Edin responded with a 6-5 win over Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK). Edin won 6-5 against John Epping (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Westjet Players' Championship Championship title, Edin earned 77.818 world rankings points along with the $30,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 5th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 28.362 after improving upon their best so far this season. Edin ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 538.755 points earned so far this season.
