To advance to the championship game, Tirinzoni won 7-4 over Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2017 Meridian Canadian Open in North Battleford, Saskatchewan; and won 6-2 over Jacqueline Harrison (Mississauga, ON) in the quarterfinals.
 
Tirinzoni finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tirinzoni defeated Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB) 6-4, then won 7-5 against Allison Flaxey (Caledon, ON) and 8-3 against Michelle Englot (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Meridian Canadian Open, Tirinzoni take home 63.638 world rankings points along with the $18,000CDN prize, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 59.994 after improving upon their best so far this season.
