Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB) finished 1-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Einarson lost 6-4 to Silvana Tirinzoni (Zurich, SUI), then responded with a 5-2 win over Tracy Fleury (Sudbury, NONT). Einarson went on to lose 6-5 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB). Einarson lost 7-4 to Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Einarson earned 4.050 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 10th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 1.856 after improving upon their best so far this season. Einarson ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 157.452 points earned so far this season.
