Allison Flaxey (Caledon, ON) won 6-3 over Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) in the Final of the WFG Masters, held October 25 - 30, 2016 in Okotoks, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Flaxey won 8-1 over Silvana Tirinzoni (Zurich, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2016 WFG Masters in Okotoks, Alberta; and won 8-2 over EunJung Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in the quarterfinals.
 
Flaxey finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Flaxey defeated Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) 9-6, then went on to lose 8-6 against Binia Feltscher (Flims, SUI). Flaxey lost 10-3 to Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS) where Flaxey responded with a 8-3 win over Chelsea Carey (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the WFG Masters Championship title, Flaxey earned 84.739 world rankings points along with the $30,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 6th place overall with 411.104 total points. Flaxey ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 217.926 points earned so far this season.
