Selena Sturmay (Airdrie, AB) finished 6-4 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sturmay defeated Sadie Pinksen (Iqaluit, NU) 13-2, then won 9-4 against Laurie St-Georges (Laval, QC) and 11-2 against Zoey Walsh (Hay River, NT). Sturmay won 9-3 against Megan Smith (Sudbury, NONT). Sturmay went on to lose 6-5 against Justine Comeau (Fredericton, NB). Sturmay lost 9-6 to Abby Ackland (Winnipeg, MB). Sturmay lost 8-7 to Sarah Daniels (New Westminster, BC). Sturmay lost 9-3 to Mary Fay (Chester, NS) where Sturmay responded with a 9-2 win over Courtney Auld (Toronto, ON). Sturmay won 9-5 against Kourtney Fesser (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Sturmay earned 2.199 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week of the event schedule, Sturmay did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Sturmay ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
