Sinclair/Dropkin finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sinclair/Dropkin defeated Martin/Schneider 12-2, then won 7-3 against Katie Cottrill/Shawn Cottrill (Belgrave, ON) and 10-2 against Aileen Geving/Christopher Plys (Duluth, MN). Sinclair/Dropkin went on to lose 9-8 against Em Good/MacAllan Guy (Seattle, WA). Sinclair/Dropkin responded with a 11-2 win over Stephanie Jensen/Fred Maxie (Phoenix, AZ) in their final qualifying round match.
