Nina Roth/Kroy Nernberger (Blaine, MN) qualified for the 2016 Pacific Northwest Mixed Doubles Invitational playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 9-4 against Kalynn Virtue/Charley Thomas (Calgary, AB).
Roth/Nernberger finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Roth/Nernberger defeated Becca Wood/Bret Jackson (Michigan, USA) 10-6, then went on to lose 8-3 against Saskatchewan's Marliese Kasner/Dustin Kalthoff. Roth/Nernberger responded with a 10-7 win over Cora Farrell/Luc Violette (Seattle, WA). Roth/Nernberger won 8-6 against Vicky Persinger/Quinn Evenson (Minnesota, USA), then won 10-2 against Maureen Stolt/Peter Stolt (St. Paul, USA) in their final qualifying round match.
