Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) qualified for the 2015 Point Optical Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 4-1 against Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2015 Point Optical Curling Classic in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Bottcher finished 5-2 in the 26-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher defeated Carson Ackerman (Saskatoon, SK) 6-3, then won 8-6 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) and 9-8 against Alex Forrest (Winnipeg, MB). Bottcher went on to lose 7-2 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste. Marie, ON). Bottcher lost 7-6 to Carruthers where Bottcher responded with a 7-3 win over Soo-Hyuk Kim (Gangwon, KOR). Bottcher won 8-2 against Peter De Cruz (Geneve, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Bottcher earned 26.820 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Point Optical Curling Classic, remaining in 8th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 327.510 total points. Bottcher ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 82.960 points earned so far this season.
