Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) lost 4-3 to Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in the Final of the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1, held September 8 - 13, 2015 in Paradise, Newfoundland / Labrador. To advance to the championship game, Gushue won 5-3 over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2015 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Paradise, Newfoundland / Labrador; and won 4-2 over Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2015 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Paradise, Newfoundland / Labrador;
 
Gushue finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue lost 5-3 to Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB), then responded with a 7-3 win over David Murdoch (Stirling, SCO). Gushue won 8-1 against Adam Casey (Charlottetown, PEI), then won 9-5 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1, Gushue take home 59.249 world rankings points along with the $15,500CDN prize, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 494.973 total points. Gushue ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 113.073 points earned so far this season.
