Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) won 5-3 over Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard, held September 3 - 7, 2015 in Oakville, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Gushue won 8-6 over Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2015 Stu Sells Oakville Tankard in Oakville, Ontario; and won 8-5 over Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in the quarterfinals.
 
Gushue finished 3-0 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue defeated Ontario's Mark Kean 6-1, then won 5-3 against Ontario's Jake Walker and 8-2 against Carruthers in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard Championship title, Gushue earned 53.824 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 3rd place overall with 435.724 total points. Gushue ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 53.824 points earned so far this season.
