Homan finished 4-0 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan defeated Xueyi Wang (Shanghai, CHN) 8-1, then won 7-2 against Cissi Ostlund (Karlstad, SWE) and 5-4 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS). Homan won 5-2 against Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard Championship title, Homan earned 65.022 world rankings points along with the $9,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 2nd place overall with 439.182 total points. Homan ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 65.022 points earned so far this season.
