Wayne Tallon (Fredericton, NB) won 7-5 over Jeremy Mallais (Moncton, NB) in the Final of the Jim Sullivan Curling Classic, held December 5 - 7, 2014 in Saint John, New Brunswick. To advance to the championship game, Tallon won 8-4 over Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) in the semifinals of the 2014 Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Saint John, New Brunswick; and won 7-5 over Jason Vaughan (Saint John, NB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Saint John, New Brunswick;
Tallon finished 3-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tallon defeated Paul Dobson (Saint John, NB) 7-4, then went on to lose 6-4 against Dean Gemmell (New York, NY). Tallon responded with a 7-1 win over Mitch Downey (Saint John, NB). Tallon went on to lose 6-3 against Grant Odishaw (Moncton, NB). Tallon responded with a 8-2 win over Mike Flemming (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Jim Sullivan Curling Classic Championship title, Tallon earned 3.250 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 423 spots the World Ranking Standings into 208th place overall with 3.250 total points. Tallon ranks 132nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.250 points earned so far this season.
