Schwaller finished 6-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schwaller defeated Jake Vukich (Seattle, USA) 6-2, then went on to lose 8-4 against Eirik Mjoen (Oslo, NOR). Schwaller responded with a 8-6 win over Smith. Schwaller won 8-7 against Sergei Glukhov (Moscow, RUS). Schwaller went on to lose 8-6 against Amos Mosaner (Trento, ITA). Schwaller responded with a 7-4 win over Zhilin Shao (Harbin, CHN). Schwaller went on to lose 7-2 against Braden Calvert (Winnipeg, CAN). Schwaller responded with a 7-2 win over Sebastian Wunderer (Kitzbuehel, AUT). Schwaller won 11-6 against Fredrik Nyman (Harnosand, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the World Junior Championships Championship title, Schwaller earned 8.000 world rankings points, moving up 443 spots the World Ranking Standings into 145th place overall with 8.000 total points. Schwaller ranks 105th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.000 points earned so far this season.
