In their opening game, Calvert defeated Jamie Airut (Rankin Inlet, NU) 18-4, then won 6-3 against Adam Freilich (Montreal, PQ) and 10-4 against Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT). Calvert won 6-2 against Tyler Hartung (Langenburg, SK), then won 10-5 against Stephen Trickett (St. John's, NL) and 7-4 against Ryan McCrady (Ottawa, ON). Calvert won 6-4 against Comeau, then won 5-4 against Carter Lautner (Calgary, AB). Calvert went on to lose 8-6 against Cameron de Jong (Victoria, BC). Calvert responded with a 8-2 win over Robert Mayhew (Windsor, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Juniors Championship title, Calvert earned 8.000 world rankings points, moving up 236 spots the World Ranking Standings into 134th place overall with 8.281 total points. Calvert ranks 96th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.000 points earned so far this season.
