Hartung won 5-3 against Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT), then won 8-6 against Adam Freilich (Montreal, PQ) and 6-3 against Carter Lautner (Calgary, AB). Hartung went on to lose 9-6 against Rene Comeau (Fredericton, NB). Hartung responded with a 11-4 win over Cameron de Jong (Victoria, BC). Hartung went on to lose 6-3 against Robert Mayhew (Windsor, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
