Sonnenberg finished 4-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sonnenberg defeated Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) 9-7, then went on to lose 8-5 against Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI). Sonnenberg responded with a 11-4 win over Kristie Moore (Sexsmith, AB). Sonnenberg won 6-5 against Crystal Webster (Calgary, AB). Sonnenberg went on to lose 4-3 against Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON). Sonnenberg responded with a 7-3 win over Courtney Rossing (Grande Prairie, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Sonnenberg earned 8.250 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Pomeroy Inn & Suites Prairie Showdown, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 14th place overall with 173.550 total points. Sonnenberg ranks 17th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 77.250 points earned so far this season.
