Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO) lost 7-2 to Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) in the Final of the Pomeroy Inn & Suites Prairie Showdown, held March 27 - 30, 2014 in Grande Prairie, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Muirhead won 6-5 over Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2014 Pomeroy Inn & Suites Prairie Showdown in Grande Prairie, Alberta; and won 6-4 over Chelsea Carey (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals.

Muirhead finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muirhead defeated Kayla Skrlik (Grande Prairie, AB) 11-2, then won 9-4 against EunJung Kim (GyeongBuk, KOR) and 7-4 against Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Pomeroy Inn & Suites Prairie Showdown, Muirhead take home 14.850 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN prize, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 392.385 total points. Muirhead ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 203.290 points earned so far this season.
