Marc Pfister (Bern, SUI) lost 5-2 to James Grattan (Oromocto, NB) in the Final of the Curling Masters Champery, held October 25 - 27, 2013 in Champery, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Pfister won 5-3 over Pascal Hess (Zug, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2013 Curling Masters Champery in Champery, Switzerland; and won 7-2 over Kyle Smith (Perth, SCO) in the quarterfinals.
Pfister finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pfister defeated Bernhard Werthemann (Berne, SUI) 6-3, then won 5-3 against Aku Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN) and 5-4 against Ritvars Gulbis (Riga, LAT). Pfister went on to lose 6-2 against Grattan. Pfister lost 7-6 to Alexander Baumann (Fuessen, GER) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Curling Masters Champery, Pfister take home 8.925 world rankings points along with the $10,505CDN prize, moving up 437 spots the World Ranking Standings into 110th place overall with 8.925 total points. Pfister ranks 58th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.925 points earned so far this season.
