Ritvars Gulbis (Riga, LAT) finished 2-3 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gulbis defeated Aku Kauste (Hyvinkaa, FIN) 7-6, then went on to lose 6-5 against James Grattan (Oromocto, NB). Gulbis lost 5-4 to Marc Pfister (Bern, SUI) where Gulbis responded with a 6-5 win over Alexander Baumann (Fuessen, GER). Gulbis went on to lose 6-5 against Bernhard Werthemann (Berne, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week 11 of the event schedule, Gulbis did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 204th to 210th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 2.319 total points. Gulbis ranks 146th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.108 points earned so far this season.
