Heidt responded with a 10-4 win over Dean Ross (Edmonton, AB). Heidt went on to lose 7-5 against Schlender. Heidt responded with a 7-5 win over Dustin Eckstrand (Red Deer, AB). Heidt won 9-5 against Kevin Park (Edmonton, AB), then won 8-7 against Joel Jordison (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Heidt earned 4.740 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Red Deer Curling Classic, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 58th place overall with 24.665 total points. Heidt ranks 65th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.440 points earned so far this season.
