Steen Sigurdson (Winnipeg, MB) won 7-1 over Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK) in the Final of the DEKALB Superspiel, held November 21 - 24, 2013 at the Morris Curling Club in Morris, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Sigurdson won 7-3 over Josh Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) in the semifinals of the 2013 DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada; and won 4-3 over Kelly Marnoch (Carberry, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2013 DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada;
Sigurdson finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sigurdson defeated Scott Ramsay (Winnipeg, MB) 5-2, then won 4-2 against Marnoch and 4-3 against Hartung in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the DEKALB Superspiel Championship title, Sigurdson earned 4.750 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 86 spots the World Ranking Standings into 134th place overall with 7.375 total points. Sigurdson ranks 85th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 6.625 points earned so far this season.
