In their opening game, Koltun defeated Deanne Nichol (Peace River, AB) 7-6, then went on to lose 10-6 against Amber Holland (Regina, SK). Koltun lost 6-4 to Chana Martineau (Edmonton, AB) where Koltun responded with a 7-5 win over Nicky Kaufman (Edmonton, AB). Koltun went on to lose 9-4 against Leslie Rogers (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
