Stoughton lost 5-3 to Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste. Marie, ON) where Stoughton responded with a 7-6 win over Rob Rumfeldt (Guelph, ON). Stoughton won 7-4 against Jean-Michel Menard (Quebec, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Stoughton earned 18.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Canadian Open of Curling, remaining in 5th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 7.875 after improving upon their best so far this season. Stoughton ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 189.350 points earned so far this season.
