To advance to the championship game, Horgan won 6-5 over Amber Holland (Regina, SK) in the semifinals of the 2013 Pomeroy Inn & Suites Prairie Showdown in Grande Prairie, Alberta; and won 6-2 over Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals.
 
Horgan finished 3-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Horgan defeated Barb Spencer (Winnipeg, MB) 6-2, then won 6-4 against Crystal Webster (Calgary, AB). Horgan went on to lose 5-4 against Chelsea Carey (Winnipeg, MB). Horgan responded with a 9-6 win over Renee Sonnenberg (Grande Prairie, AB). Horgan went on to lose 4-2 against Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Pomeroy Inn & Suites Prairie Showdown, Horgan take home 25.000 world rankings points along with the $7,600CDN prize, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 26th place overall with 85.290 total points. Horgan ranks 25th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 52.735 points earned so far this season.
