Fenson finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fenson lost 7-4 to Brennan Wark (Thunder Bay, ON), then responded with a 9-1 win over Jeff MacDonald (Thunder Bay, ON). Fenson won 7-6 against Bryan Burgess (Thunder Bay, ), then won 7-4 against Northern Ontario's Brian Adams Jr. and 7-1 against Ron Kowalchuk (Thunder Bay, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Fenson earned 1.875 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Courtesy Freight Northern Ontario Superspiel. For week 13 of the event schedule, Fenson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
