Schaefer finished 5-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schaefer lost 9-5 to Trish Paulsen (Saskatoon, SK), then responded with a 10-4 win over Ashley Skjerdal (Regina, SK). Schaefer won 8-4 against Teryn Hamilton (Calgary, AB). Schaefer went on to lose 7-2 against Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB). Schaefer responded with a 6-3 win over Deanna Doig (Kronau, SK). Schaefer won 8-2 against Jessie Hunkin (Edmonton, AB), then won 7-6 against Tiffany Game (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
Schaefer earned 8.675 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Boundary Ford Curling Classic. For week 16 of the event schedule, Schaefer did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Schaefer ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
