Sonnenberg finished 4-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sonnenberg defeated Kalynn Park (Edmonton, AB) 9-3, then won 5-3 against Jessie Kaufman (Edmonton, AB) and 6-5 against Crystal Webster (Calgary, AB). Sonnenberg went on to lose 5-2 against Owen. Sonnenberg responded with a 6-5 win over Dana Ferguson (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
