Martin lost 6-5 to Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON) where Martin responded with a 7-6 win over Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Martin earned 25.000 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Sun Life Financial Players' Championship, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 7 after improving upon their best so far this season. Martin ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 213.870 points earned so far this season.
