To advance to the championship game, Koe won 7-6 over Tom Appelman (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2011 Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta; and won 7-1 over Brock Virtue (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta;
 
Koe finished 5-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe lost 4-2 to Virtue, then responded with a 6-3 win over Matthew Blandford (Cold Lake, AB). Koe won 6-3 against Warren Cross (Edmonton, AB), then won 5-3 against Brad Heidt (Kindersley, SK). Koe went on to lose 7-4 against Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN). Koe responded with a 7-2 win over Dean Ross (Calgary, AB). Koe won 7-6 against Steve Petryk (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Red Deer Curling Classic, Koe take home 0.000 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN prize. For week 12 of the event schedule, Koe did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Koe ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
