Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB) qualified for the 2011 Point Optical Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 4-3 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB). of the 2011 Point Optical Curling Classic in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Stoughton finished 5-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stoughton defeated Dale Craig (Saskatoon, SK) 9-6, then won 5-4 against Braeden Moskowy (Regina, SK) and 6-3 against Chris Galbraith (Winnipeg, MB). Stoughton went on to lose 7-3 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Stoughton lost 7-1 to Randy Ferbey (Edmonton, AB) where Stoughton responded with a 6-1 win over Shawn Joyce (Saskatoon, SK). Stoughton won 8-1 against Galbraith in their final qualifying round match.
 
Stoughton earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Point Optical Curling Classic, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 241.210 total points. Stoughton ranks 18th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.000 points earned so far this season.
