McEwen finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McEwen defeated Andrey Drozdov (Moscow, RUS) 6-4, then won 7-4 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) and 7-2 against Steve Petryk (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
McEwen earned 8.610 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Twin Anchors Invitational, remaining in 7th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 158.320 total points. McEwen ranks 44th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.610 points earned so far this season.
