Rick Folk (Kelowna, BC) run at the 2009 Twin Anchors Invitational came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-5 loss to Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB). of the 2009 Twin Anchors Invitational in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; Folk advanced through the quarterfinals with a 7-2 win over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2009 Twin Anchors Invitational in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Folk finished 4-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Folk defeated Jeff Richard (Kelowna, BC) 4-3, then went on to lose 3-2 against McEwen. Folk responded with a 8-2 win over Tyrel Griffith (Kelowna, CAN). Folk went on to lose 7-4 against Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON). Folk responded with a 8-2 win over Alberta's Ron Chrenek. Folk won 6-4 against Griffith in their final qualifying round match.
 
Folk earned 9.400 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Twin Anchors Invitational. For week of the event schedule, Folk did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Folk ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
