Attinger3-2 at 2009 Lucerne Curling Trophy

Alexander Attinger (Dübendorf, SUI) finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Attinger defeated Hungary's Lajos Belleli 6-5, then went on to lose 6-4 against Thomas Lovold (Oslo, NOR). Attinger responded with a 6-5 win over Finland's Tomi Rantamaki. Attinger won 8-4 against Stefan Karnusian (St. Moritz, SUI). Attinger went on to lose 5-4 against Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

The berth into the first round of the Lucerne Curling Trophy playoffs earned Attinger 2.650 world rankings points. For week of the event schedule, Attinger did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Attinger ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
