Alberta's Kevin Martin won 10-3 against Manitoba's Kerry Burtnyk, then won 8-7 against Newfoundland / Labrador's Brad Gushue and 8-4 against Northern Ontario's Eric Harnden. Alberta's Kevin Martin won 7-4 against Ontario's Glenn Howard, then won 7-4 against Yukon/N.W.T.'s Chad Cowan in their final qualifying round match.
