Wayne Middaugh (Toronto, ON) won 5-2 over Dale Duguid (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Players Championship, held December 6 - 10, 1995 in Jasper, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Middaugh won 9-1 over Vic Peters (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 1995 Players Championship in Jasper, Alberta; and won 9-2 over Al Hackner (Thunder Bay, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 1995 Players Championship in Jasper, Alberta;

Middaugh finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Middaugh defeated Bruce Korte (Saskatoon, SK) 9-2, then won 7-2 against Russ Howard (Penatanguishene, ON) and 8-3 against Greg Anholt (Saskatoon, SK). Middaugh won 1-0 against Lowell Peterman (Red Deer, AB). Middaugh went on to lose 6-1 against Duguid in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Players Championship Championship title, Middaugh earned 0.000 world rankings points along with the $15,000CDN first prize cheque. For week of the event schedule, Middaugh did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
