Shuster on Opening Shorty Draw

Duluth's John Shuster plays Felix Asselin of Quebec to kick-off the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic, available on the COGECOTV.

Shuster, has Chris Plys, Matt Hamilton and John Landsteiner in the lineup this week as part of a 5-man rotation for the United States national champions.

Colin Hufman rounds out the squad and is home this weekend.

The team rotates all plays, with Shuster also taking some weekends off.

It makes the team more flexible and able to overcome injuries in major competitions, as Landsteiner missed much of the 2024 Nationals in East Rutherford, New Jersey, due to an illness.

Shuster takes to the ice at 2 pm Eastern Time (ET) against Asselin on the opening draw at the Cornwall Curling Club in Cornwall, Ontario.

Shuster returns to the ice this evening with their second game at 9 pm today against world #2 ranked Joel Retornaz of Italy.

Shuster then plays once on Thurs at 11 am against Scotland's Kyle Waddell, then against Friday at 8 pm against Pierre-Luc Morissette of Quebec City and wraps up round-robin play on Saturday against Halifax's Owen Purcell at 5 pm.

Men's Quarterfinals go at 8:30 am on Sunday, with the championship final starting at 3:30 pm.

COGECO's YourTV will provide streaming coverage of all sheets through their YouTube channel.

Look for the red play buttons on CurlingZone's live game scoreboard for a link to each game.
