 Calgary's Kevin Koe (photo: Stan Fong, Hardline Curling) plays Rylan Kleiter of Saskatoon on Monday at 9 am on CurlingZone's YouTube channel. After a season of struggles in significant events, Koe started strong at Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton with a 7-3 win over Calgary's Kenan Wipf, then added a second win over Evan van Amsterdam of Edmonton. On Saturday, Koe won 8-3 over Ryan Jacques of Edmonton, then again winning 8-2 over Andrew Dunbar of Edmonton. Koe finished with a single game on Saturday, winning 7-1 over Japan's Takumi Maeda to finish the round-robin undefeated. On the same half of the 8-team championship bracket, Saskatoon's Mike McEwen plays Ethan Sampson of Chaska, Minnesota. On the other side, Winnipeg's Jordon McDonald plays Yusuke Morozumi of Japan and Winnipeg's Reid Carruthers plays van Amsterdam. Monday's championship final goes at 3:30 pm, with all games available for free through CurlingZone's Youtube channel. |
