The first place teams from each pool after round robin secured an automatic berth in the quarterfinals, and waited through this afternoon's draw to see who they would be facing.
These four teams were:

Laura Walker and Kirk Muyres from pool A (7-0)
Paige Papley and Evan Van Amsterdam from pool B (5-2)
Taylor Reese-Hansen and Corey Chester from pool C (6-1)
Kadrianna and Colton Lott from pool D (7-0)

The other 8 playoff qualifiers competed in the round of 12 to earn their quarterfinal spot Thursday afternoon. Fifth seed Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant (5-2) took on 12th seed Riley Sandham and Brendan Craig (4-3). Peterman/Gallant looked to have control of the game through the first half, up 5-0 after four ends of play. Sandham/Craig would fight back though with a three in the fifth end and a steal in the sixth. After another single and deuce in the last two ends, the game ended in a tie and would need an extra end to declare a winner. Peterman/Gallant made no mistake with hammer in the ninth and scored a point to win the game 7-6.

Sixth seed Madison and Rylan Kleiter (5-2) faced eleventh seed Jaelyn and Jim Cotter (4-3). The teams exchanged singles through the first three ends before Kleiter/Kleiter broke away in the fourth end with a huge score of four. They would follow up the four with two steals in the following ends to secure the victory and a quarterfinal berth.

Seventh seed Andrea Kelly and Tyler Tardi (5-2) took on tenth seed Amanda and Aaron Sluchinski (4-3). Sluchinski/Sluchinski came out strong with steals in each of the first four ends to go up 4-0 at the break. Kelly/Tardi would fight back with a deuce and a steal in five and six, but in the end Sluchinski/Sluchinski held on to win 6-4.

Eighth seed Nancy Martin and Steve Laycock (5-2) faced ninth seed Lisa Weagle and John Epping (4-3). The teams traded deuces in the first two ends and Weagle/Epping stole one in both the third and fourth ends to take a 4-2 lead into the break. In the fifth end Martin/Laycock scored a deuce to tie the game up and followed it up with a steal in the sixth to take the lea. In the final end, now down 6-5, Martin/Laycock scored three with hammer to secure the victory and a quarterfinal position.

The quarterfinals begin at 7pm Thursday evening with the winners moving on to the semi finals Saturday morning at 9am. Kirk/Muyres will take on Sluchinski/Sluchinski, Papley/Van Amsterdam face Peterman/Gallant, Reese-Hansen/Chester face Kleiter/Kleiter and Lott/Lott will take on Martin/Laycock.
