After blanking the next 2 ends, Inglis scored 4 in the sixth end to break open the game. Howard responded in the seventh end scoring 3 with Inglis making a short tap to score 2 in the eighth end and maintain some breathing room heading into the final two ends. Inglis forced Howard to a single in the ninth end, then outdrew one of two stones Howard had counting when Inglis setted in the hack for her last shot of the game. Howard stole a single point, but it wasn't enough as Inglis celebrated the breakthrough win. In the semifinal game, Inglis defeated Brandwood 10-4, having to play the game after dropping the Page 1v2 game 8-3 to Howard on Thursday evening. In their opening game, Inglis defeated Emma Artichuk (Guelph, ON) 9-7, then won 6-5 against Brandwood to advance to the A-Qualifier game where they 10-4 against Howard in their first of three meetings on the week. |
