![]() Winnipeg's Jennifer Jones (photo: Andrew Klaver, Curling Canada) improved to 2-1 after a 7-4 win over Stacie Curtis of St. John's. Jones, with Karlee Burgess, Mackenize Zacharias and Lauren Lenentine in the lineup for their third game of the weekend blanked the first end, then scored two in the second end for the early lead. A steal of one in the third end extended the lead for Jones, one they wouldn't give up in the game. Curtis and Jones traded singles in the fourth and fifth ends, with Curtis grabbed their lone deuce in the sixth end to cut the deficit to a single point. Jones and Curtis again traded single points in the seventh and eighth end with Jones scoring two in the ninth end to lead by three into the final end. Jones ran Curtis out of stones in the 10th settling for the 7-4 win. Jones won 12-5 over Winnipeg's Meghan Walter in the morning draw, with Emily Zacharias in the lineup at lead for that game. Emily Zacharias and Lauren Lenentine have been alternating games at the lead position thus far, with Lenentine playing in their opening game loss to Thunder Bay's Krista McCarville, 11-8. Jones next faces Ontario's Rachel Homan at 1:30 pm PT (4:30 pm ET). Homan is also at 2-1 following their 7-5 win over McCarville on Sunday evening.
