Sweden are LGT World Men's 2026 champions


Ogden, United States - Niklas Edin's Sweden won the LGT World Men's Curling Championship 2026 gold medals and title on Saturday afternoon (4 April) by 9-6 against Matt Dunstone's Canada at the Weber County Ice Sheet in Ogden, United States.

Sweden took a 4-3 lead into the fifth end break, then scored two points in both the sixth and eighth ends to take an 8-6 lead into the tenth end.

Sweden held last stone advantage in the tenth end, but did not have to throw that final stone, when Canada's Matt Dunstone was just wide with a difficult take-out attempt trying to to remove a Swedish counter in the four-foot.

Sweden scored a single from the end for a final score of 9-6 and the LGT World Men's Curling Championship 2026 gold medals and world title.

Sweden's gold medal winning team are: skip, Niklas Edin; third, Oskar Eriksson; second, Rasmus Wranaa; lead, Christoffer Sundgren; alternate, Simon Olofsson; and coach, Alexander Lindstrom.

Canada's silver medal winning team are: skip, Matt Dunstone; third, Colton Lott; second, E.J. Harnden; lead, Ryan Harnden; alternate, Geoff Walker; and coach, Caleb Flaxey.
