By: Cameron Sallaj A late-night win Friday has earned Gim Eun-ji and her Korean championship rink a spot in Saturday mornings tiebreaker draw. Gim, with Kim Min-ji, Kim Su-ji, Seol Ye-eun and Seol Ye-ji scored three in the first, four in the third and two in the fifth en route to downing Kang Bo-bae 9-3. It was a rematch of the Korean Olympic Trials semifinal where Gim also won before going on to defeat Ha Seung-youn in the final. At 2-2 and with six points, Gim will face Japan's Ikue Kitazawa in one tiebreaker while Kang Bo-bae and her Jeonbuk based squad will have a rematch against Gimli's Kerri Einarson in the other. Satsuki Fujisawa, the fifth team at 2-2, had the best shootout score of the teams with six points and earned a direct spot in the playoffs. The tiebreaker games get underway at 8:00 AM PT Saturday morning. Rachel Homan and her Ottawa based rink took the top playoff seed with a perfect 4-0 record while Switzerland's Silvana Tirinzoni (4-0) took second with a higher draw total. They will await the winners of the tiebreaker games to determine their quarterfinal opponents. Xenia Schwaller of Switzerland (#3) will take on Satsuki Fujisawa (#6) in the third quarterfinal game while in the fourth, Anna Hasselborg (#4) meets Sayaka Yoshimura (#5). The women's quarterfinal round is set to go at 11:30 AM PT.
