In the semifinals, Persinger defeated Andrew Stopera (Chicago, IL) 5-4 in an extra end and Polo defeated Pete Fenson (Bemidji, MN) 3-2. Stopera and Fenson earned $2,570CDN and 17.284 ranking points for their semifinal finishes. In the quarterfinals, Persinger defeated Heath McCormick (Blaine, USA) 7-6 in an extra end, Polo defeated John Shuster (Duluth, USA) 8-7 in an extra end, while Fenson defeated Greg Balsdon (Kingston, ON) 6-5 and Stopera defeated Jean-Sebastien Roy (Chicoutimi, QC) 6-4. Shuster, McCormick, Roy and Balsdon earned $1,285CDN along with 12.200 ranking points for their quarterfinal finishes. Persinger went 4-0 in the 20 team round-robin pools qualifying round.
