Manitoba's Matt Dunstone (Photo: Anil Mungal/Grand Slam of Curling) starts their 2025-2026 season at the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic in Cornwall, Ontario.

By Connor Simms,

#5 World-Ranked Matt Dunstone, with Colton Lott at third, E.J. Harnden and Ryan Harnden on the front end, hopes for an Olympic appearance in the 2025-2026 season.

After a successful season last year, finishing first in three tour events: Henderson Metal Fall Classic, Astec Safety Challenge and the Red Deer Curling Classic, as well as three semi-final finishes in the Grand Slam of Curling events, Dunstone climbed four spots in the world rankings from #8 to #4.

They kick off their season in Cornwall, Ontario, at the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic. Last year at this event, they finished in fifth place, going 3-2 through round-robin, then losing in the quarterfinals to Scotland's Bruce Mouat 6-2.

They kick off their event on Thursday with games against Northern Ontario's John Epping (#10) at 2:00 pm Eastern Time (ET) and Ontario's Kibo Mulima (#97) at 8:00 pm ET. They have one game on Friday against Korea's Jaeboom Lee (#54) at 2:00 pm ET. They wrap up the round robin on Saturday with games against Minnesota's Daniel Casper (#19) at 8:00 am ET and against Switzerland's Yannick Schwaller (#2) at 2:00 pm ET.

This is a 20-team event, with the top 8 teams qualifying for the playoffs after a 5-game round-robin.

The linescores for each game can be viewed on the CurlingZone Website.
