By Connor Simms, #12 World-Ranked Korey Dropkin with Thomas Howell at third, Andrew Stopera and Mark Fenner on the front end, look to bounce back after a slow start to the 2025-2026 season. Dropkin opened their season a few weeks ago, playing in the USA Curling Pan Continental Qualifiers. They finished the weekend with a 2-2 record, defeating Chaska's Daniel Casper and losing to the eventual winner, Chaska's John Shuster, in this 3-team double round robin event. Their first event in the tour season comes in Stirling, Scotland, at the Euro Super Series. They return to this event for the fourth straight season. They have an 11-win and 8-loss record in this event, with their best finish coming in 2022 with a second-place finish, losing to Italy's Joel Retornez in the final. Dropkin is coming off the 2024-2025 season with their second world championship. Coming off a disappointing 4-8 finish at the World's, USA Curling failed to grab a direct entry spot into the Olympics, which means they will have to go through an Olympic Qualifier event. USA Curling will host an Olympic Trials in early November to determine the team sent to this Qualifier. They kick off this event on Thursday against Scotland's Cameron Bryce at 5:30 am Central Time (CT) and the Netherlands' Wouter Gosgens at 1:30 pm CT. They continue on Friday with Scotland's Arran Thomson at 1:30 pm CT. They will wrap up the round robin on Saturday with Czechia's Lukas Klima at 5:30 am CT. The top-8 teams will then move on to the playoffs, with the quarterfinals happening Saturday evening and the semi-finals and finals happening on Sunday.
