By Connor Simms, Matt Dunstone, with Colton Lott at third and E.J. Harnden and Ryan Harnden on the front end, continue their perfect start to 2025. Last weekend, they were in Lloydminster, Alberta/Saskatchewan, where they went a perfect 7-0, defeating Saskathewan's Mike McEwen in the final to add their third event title. They previously won the Henderson Metal Fall Classic and the Red Deer Curling Classic earlier this season. They took on Yannick Schwaller Wednesday afternoon, losing the opening draw to the button for the hammer. In the first end, they forced Schwaller to a single point. Dunstone responded at the second end with their deuce. Schwaller was forced in the third end, and Dunstone was forced in the fourth end. In the fifth end, Dunstone stole the first point of the game. Schwaller struggled to find two points in this game, being forced to another single in the sixth end. Dunstone was forced to their single in the seventh, ultimately stealing one more in the eighth end for the 5-3 victory. Dunstone defeated Italy's Joel Retornaz 6-5 in their opening game. Their next game is against Saskathewan's Rylan Kleiter (0-2) at 8:00 am Eastern Time (ET) on Thursday. They finish the round-robin with Germany Marc Muskatewitz (2-0) on Friday at 11:30 am ET.
