Plett finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Plett defeated Taylor Legge (Whitehorse, YK) 9-2, then won 6-4 against Dayna Wahl (Altona, MB) and 6-5 against Ella Lenentine (Cornwall, PEI). Plett went on to lose 7-4 against Blades. Plett responded with a 7-4 win over Melodie Forsythe (Fredericton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
