Parkinson finished 3-2 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Parkinson defeated Brayden Snow (Cornwall, PEI) 5-2, then won 7-3 against Timothy Marin (Saint John, NB) and 8-4 against Julian Bowling (Yellowknife, NT). Parkinson went on to lose 10-4 against Kyle Stratton (London, ON). Parkinson lost 8-3 to Hiebert in their final qualifying round match.
